ডেকিন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যাত্রা শুরু হয় ১৯৭৪ সালে। দেশটির ভিক্টোরিয়া শহরের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টি স্বনামধন্য একটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টি শিক্ষার মান নিশ্চিত করার পাশাপাশি অস্ট্রেলিয়ান সরকার ও বিভিন্ন কোম্পানিতে পার্টনারশিপে কাজ করে। এতে শিক্ষার্থীরা পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি গবেষণা ও কাজের সুযোগ পান।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টি ৪০০টি বৃত্তি দেবে। উপবৃত্তি, সম্পূর্ণ টিউশন ফি মুক্ত, চিকিৎসা তহবিল (অসুস্থতাজনিত ছুটির বেতন দেওয়া), বিদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বাস্থ্যসেবা ও বিমানভাড়া মিলবে এ বৃত্তি পেলে।

ডেকিন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কয়েকটি বিষয়ে বৃত্তির দিয়ে থাকে। ফ্যাকাল্টি অব আর্টস অ্যান্ড এডুকেশন, ফ্যাকাল্টি অব সায়েন্স, ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং অ্যান্ড বিল্ট এনভায়রনমেন্ট ও ইনস্টিটিউট অব ফ্রন্টিয়ার্স ম্যাটেরিয়ালস। এসব বিষয়ে সারা বছর আবেদন করা যায়।

Benefits and Duration

Stipend and Allowances Value ^{(Terms and Conditions apply)}

• A stipend of $33,500 per annum tax exempt (effective from 28/05/2023)
• A relocation allowance from $500 to $1,500 (for single to family) awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin
• For international students only: Single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for the duration of the student visa.

Doctoral Degree Duration

• 3 years for stipend and 4 years for the tuition fees offset

Research Master Degree Duration

• 2 years for stipend and 2 years for the tuition fees offset

Eligibility criteria

• To be eligible for an RTP Stipend, RTP Fees Offset, RTP Allowance or DUPRS a student must be a domestic or international student enrolled in an HDR course of study at Deakin University
• To be eligible for an RTP Fees Offset an applicant must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees
• To be eligible for an RTP or DUPRS Stipend a student must not be receiving income from another source to support that student’s general living costs while undertaking their course of study if that income is greater than 75 per cent of that student’s RTP or DUPRS Stipend rate. Income unrelated to the student’s course of study or income received for the student’s course of study but not for the purposes of supporting general living costs is not to be taken into account.

Selection Process

RTP and DUPRS Stipends will be awarded to students as the result of a competitive process outlined in the ranking guidelines as below. Students receiving an RTP or DUPRS Stipend will be enrolled as on-campus full-time students.

Applicants for an RTP or DUPRS Stipend must have:

• completed at least four years of tertiary education studies
• have achieved 80% or equivalent in the research component of their previous study or an equivalent level of academic attainment, taking into account previous study, relevant work experience, research publications and other research experience
• meet all other minimum entry requirements according to the Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Admission, Selection and Enrolment Procedure. Please refer to the research degree entry pathways page for more information.

Currently enrolled HDR students can apply for an RTP or DUPRS Stipend and will be assessed by the Faculty/Institute. Currently enrolled students may not apply after they have completed more than 3 years of their doctoral course or 2 years of their masters course (or part-time equivalent).

How to meet our English language requirements

All students must be able to prove that they can meet our English language requirements. Our English language requirements are divided into five bands – from Band A through to Band E. These Bands indicate the level of English required to undertake the course, with Band E representing the highest English skill level required.

You will be able to provide evidence of your English language skills if you have:

• completed an English language test such as IELTS, Pearson, TOEFL or Cambridge
  • Applicants who are unable to sit standard tests due to public health concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic can complete an online English language test such as IELTS Indicator, OET@Home, TOEFL Special Home Edition.
• completed some types of university (tertiary) or high-school (secondary) studies
• completed an approved English subject in IB Diploma, Australian Year 12 or other high school qualifications
• lived and worked in an English speaking country for at least five years.

ডেকিন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বৃত্তির সুযোগ–সুবিধা

• প্রতিবছর একজন শিক্ষার্থী ৩৩ হাজার ৫০০ ডলার পাবেন;

এইচডিআর স্কলারশিপ-রিসার্চ ট্রেনিং প্রোগ্রাম স্কলারশিপ (আরটিপি)। ডেকিন ইউনির্ভাসিটি পোস্ট গ্র্যাজুয়েট রিসার্চ স্কলারশিপ (ডিইউপিআর)। এই দুই স্কলারশিপের মধ্য আরটিপি স্কলারশিপের অর্থ দেয় অস্ট্রেলিয়ার সরকার। আর ডিইউপিআর স্কলারশিপ দেয় ডেকিন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। এই দুই বৃত্তির জন্য অস্ট্রেলিয়ার স্থানীয় শিক্ষার্থী এবং বিদেশি শিক্ষার্থীরা আবেদন করতে পারবেন।
