The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) is offering a unique opportunity for youth to participate in the Sixth Global Conference on Strengthening Synergies between the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, taking place on 27–28 May 2025 at UN City in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This global conference is co-convened by UN DESA and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It serves as a key platform to accelerate integrated climate and sustainable development action through dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaborative policymaking.
About the Conference
The 2025 UN Climate and SDGs Conference aims to address the interconnected global challenges of climate change, inequality, biodiversity loss, and financial instability. With over 80 percent of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) directly linked to climate action, the event will focus on breaking down silos and creating synergies to drive more effective and inclusive solutions.
The conference will bring together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and youth stakeholders to explore innovative approaches that align climate and development agendas to achieve transformative impact.
