About the Y20
The Youth 20 (Y20) is one of the official engagement groups of the G20. It provides a platform for young leaders from G20 countries and beyond to collaborate on solutions to global challenges. Policy recommendations developed by Y20 delegates are submitted to G20 leaders for consideration.
In August 2025, South Africa will host the Y20 Summit under the theme:
“Youth Building Bridges: Uniting for Solidarity, Championing Equality, Driving Sustainability.”
The summit will bring together youth delegates from around the world to deliberate on priority topics such as:

Social inclusion
As a delegate, you will play a meaningful role in shaping policy discussions and recommendations that address global needs.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 30

Be passionate about leadership, policy, and global development
