This prestigious, fully funded global program invites young leaders from all over the world to join a movement of action-oriented citizens dedicated to making the planet more sustainable. Through this initiative, United People Global (UPG) empowers everyday individuals to take concrete steps that contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
About the Program
UPG Sustainability Leadership is more than a training program—it’s a global movement that mobilises people and organisations to support positive citizen leadership in sustainability. It encourages participants to act today with the resources they have, inspiring collective responsibility and local impact.
Sustainability, according to UPG, extends far beyond environmental issues. It includes vital areas such as:
- Education and lifelong learning
- Health and well-being
- Gender equality and job creation
- Sustainable production and consumption
- Climate action and ocean protection
Each year, over 500 young leaders are selected from across the world to receive specialized training and certification as UPG Sustainability Leaders. The top candidates also get an extraordinary opportunity to participate in an immersive one-week experience in the United States of America—with all expenses covered!

Who Can Apply
