The European Youth Event (EYE) 2025 is calling for young individuals to join the event and showcase their unique storytelling skills. If you are between the ages of 16 and 30 and are passionate about youth engagement, this opportunity could be for you.
Who Can Apply?
This call is open to young journalists and content creators who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age: Between 16 and 30 years old.
- Affiliation: Must be part of a youth organisation or civil society organisation registered in the European Union.
- Experience: Applicants should have experience in journalism, video production, podcasts, digital storytelling, or other media formats.
- Passion for Youth Engagement: Strong interest in covering youth-related issues and creating creative content.
Program Details
- Event Dates: EYE2025 will take place on 13-14 June 2025.
- Location: The event will be held in Strasbourg, France.
- Funding: Successful applicants will receive €1200 to cover:
- Travel expenses
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Production and publication costs
- Responsibilities:
- Develop a coverage plan before the event.
- Create and publish articles, videos, social media posts, podcasts, or other media during and after the event.
- Engage with participants, activities, and key themes at the event to produce engaging content.
How to Apply
To apply, you must:
- Complete the application form with the following:
- Your name, age, address, and the organisation you represent.
- A short introduction (450 words max) about your journalism or content creation experience.
- A proposal on where you’ll publish your content (media outlets, blogs, social media handles, or organisation’s website). Include links if applicable.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your work, such as articles, videos, or social media content. Alternatively, you can submit a rough idea of what you want to cover at EYE2025.
- Support from an organisation: Your application must be supported by a youth or civil society organisation, as the funding will be provided to the organisation, not directly to you.
- Submit by the deadline: Complete and submit your application by Sunday, 30 March 2025, 23:59 CET.
