The Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia) supports organizations across the Asia Pacific region in researching, designing, and implementing Internet-based solutions to address digital development challenges. These initiatives aim to foster community development and economic growth.
Since its inception, ISIF Asia has funded 166 grants and 43 awards, allocating over USD 10.1 million across 32 economies. The 2025 funding cycle is now open, apply now to secure your seat!
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to organizations in the public and private sectors, including:
- Academia
- Non-profits
- Social enterprises
- Government and private sector entities
Applicants must be from one of the 56 economies in the APNIC service region. Priority will be given to applications from economies that have not previously received an ISIF Asia grant.
Funding Areas
ISIF Asia funding is structured around three core thematic areas:
1. Inclusion
Projects that promote meaningful access to the Internet, applications, and online services for underserved communities.
2. Infrastructure
Initiatives aimed at enhancing Internet speed, reducing costs, and improving reliability and security.
3. Knowledge
Projects focused on developing technical capacity and research related to Internet network operations, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Specialized Grants
Ian Peter Grants for Internet and the Environment
These grants are available across all three program areas and support innovative solutions to mitigate the environmental impact of the Internet. They honor Ian Peter, an Internet pioneer and environmental activist.
IPv6 Deployment Grants
As part of the Infrastructure program, these grants support organizations planning to deploy IPv6 within the Asia Pacific region.

- Pre-register your organization in the APNIC Foundation grants portal before 2 April 2025. Allow two working days for approval.
- Submit your application via the grants portal by 4 April 2025.
- Review the application and selection criteria on the APNIC Foundation Portal before applying.
