Edventure’s Future Shed is looking for a Young People’s Climate Action Project Coordinator to lead an exciting initiative that empowers the next generation of climate leaders in Frome.
About the Role
As part of Green and Healthy Frome, this project aims to bring young people together to create a Youth Climate Action Allies group. The goal is to provide agency, creativity, and opportunities for young people (ages 12-18) to lead climate-related initiatives in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a youth-led movement – Support young people in forming a core group that will design and implement climate action projects.
- Facilitate engagement – Work with schools, youth organizations, and community groups to encourage participation.
- Empower decision-making – Help young people take ownership of the initiative and manage a budget for activities.
- Strengthen partnerships – Collaborate with Frome Town Council, Edventure’s Future Shed, and other key stakeholders.
- Promote skill-building – Provide opportunities for leadership, volunteering, and peer-to-peer learning.

Has strong communication and networking skills
Can facilitate workshops and organize community activities
Understands climate action, sustainability, and equity
Has experience working in schools, youth groups, or community projects
Is proactive, organized, and able to work independently
Project Details
- Fee: £150 per day for 50 days (£7,500 total)
- Duration: April 2025 – January 2026 (10 months)
- Location: Based in Frome and surrounding villages
- Contract: Freelance, flexible working schedule
- Enhanced DBS check required
