What the Public Health Innovation Platform Offers
Organisations selected to join the Platform will be able to:

Collaborate with leading institutions to advance public health innovation across the European Region.

Platform Principles and Governance
The Platform is governed by the following core principles: inclusivity, diversity in membership and activities, transparency in processes and communications, alignment with WHO norms and standards, and coordination among stakeholders to advance public health innovation. Who Can Apply?
Eligible entities include organisations (not individuals) such as:

Governmental agencies and public institutions (innovation offices, science parks, public research organisations)

Intergovernmental organisations

WHO collaborating centres

Academic institutions (universities, labs)

Private sector entities (innovation labs, biotech/med-tech companies, startup incubators)

Nongovernmental organisations engaged in public health innovation

Application and Membership Requirements
Each applying organisation must:

Align with the WHO Constitution and policies. Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità

Demonstrate active, international work in public health innovation (minimum 2 years’ experience).

Have an established structure and accountability mechanisms.

Provide required documentation (legal status, governance, funding sources, affiliations).

Commit to the Platform’s mission, objectives and code of conduct.
Members are expected to actively engage in meetings and working groups, share knowledge and best practices, and uphold the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality.
They should contribute meaningfully to the development and exchange of innovative ideas that can strengthen health systems and improve population health outcomes across the WHO European Region. Participation involves consistent collaboration, reporting, and contribution to thematic discussions and joint projects. Members are also encouraged to support the dissemination of results, foster partnerships with other organizations, and champion ethical practices and transparency in all activities related to the Platform’s mission and objectives.

How to Apply

Review the Terms of Reference for the Public Health Innovation Platform.

Complete the online Expression of Interest form via the link provided on the WHO/Europe page.
