ইমপেরিয়াল কলেজের প্রেসিডেন্টস ফুলফ্রি স্কলারশিপ নিয়ে লন্ডন যাত্রা, বিনা খরচে লেখাপড়ার সাথে মিলবে জীবনযাত্রার খরচ

লন্ডনের ইমপেরিয়াল কলেজ দেবে স্কলারশিপ। পিএইচডি গবেষকেরা পাবেন এ স্কলারশিপ। এর নাম ‘প্রেসিডেন্টস পিএইচডি স্কলারশিপ’। যুক্তরাজ্য এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী প্রতিভাবান শিক্ষার্থীরা এ বৃত্তির জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন। এ বৃত্তির আওতায় শুধু নতুন পিএইচডি আবেদনকারীরা পড়তে পারবেন। ৫০ জন পাবেন প্রেসিডেন্টস পিএইচডি স্কলারশিপ।

সুযোগ-সুবিধা
বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীরা সাড়ে তিন বছরে নানা সুবিধা পাবেন।
* শিক্ষার্থীকে কোনো টিউশন ফি দিতে হবে না;
* জীবনযাত্রার খরচ চালানোর জন্য ২৫ হাজার ১৫০ পাউন্ড পাবেন শিক্ষার্থীরা। প্রতিবছর মিলবে এ অর্থ;
* প্রথম ৩ বছরের জন্য বছরে ২ হাজার পাউন্ড মিলবে ভোগ্য তহবিলের আওতায়;
* গ্র্যাজুয়েট স্কুলের ইভেন্টগুলোতে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ থাকছে।

How to apply

Applications for this scholarship scheme will be considered at three points throughout the academic year – see ‘When you’ll hear’ below.

Before you apply

• You must have made contact with a supervisor in an academic department at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise your research project.
• Supervisors are limited to supervise one scholar at any time. Please review the President’s PhD Scholarships – Unavailable Supervisors page for more information.

Application process

• There isn’t specific scholarship application form. 
• You should submit your application for admission to study at Imperial through our online admissions system and your department will put you forward for the scholarship based on academic merit and potential.

Scholarship-specific instructions for the admissions process are below; you must also meet any additional application requirements stated by your department of choice.

Additional admissions instructions

1. For the 2024–25 academic year, the earliest start date for funded places is 1 August 2024, the latest start date is 1 November 2024.
2. When prompted for a personal statement you must include a 2-page document:
   1. the first page should be a personal statement (motivations for applying to Imperial and the scholarship, and any other supporting information not included elsewhere on the form that you feel will enhance your application)
   2. the second page should be your research proposal. You may submit updated versions of this statement if required following application submission if your department shortlists you for the scholarship. You are encouraged to write in the first person. 
3. When prompted for the names of two academic referees, these should be people who can provide an academic reference in support of your application (e.g. your personal tutor or yopur thesis supervisor). You should not include your proposed PhD supervisor. You are encouraged to share this guidance with your two referees, noting, in particular, the recommendation to use ‘they/them’ language (rather than gender pronouns).
4. To be considered for the President’s PhD Scholarship scheme, you must select this option in the funding section of the additional questions tab within the online application form.

Review and selection

50 scholarship places are available. Applications will be reviewed by a two-stage process:

1. Candidates meeting or predicted to meet the eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the Department to which they have applied. Departments will select a shortlist of candidates to present to the College Selection Panel for consideration. 
2. The final decision will be made by the College Selection Panel. The members of the panel are the Vice-Provost (Research), the Director of the Graduate School, and the Faculty Vice-Deans for Research. Imperial recognises excellence in all our Faculties and as such allows some offers to be made at Faculty level:
   1. A Faculty allocation stage will score and rank candidates in Departmental shortlists, making initial offers to the most promising candidates. Faculty Vice Deans present these candidates with justification for offers at the College Selection Panel.
   2. The College Selection Panel makes additional offers from a ring-fenced allocation to candidates that meet widening participation or other strategic alignment goals.

প্রেসিডেন্টস পিএইচডি স্কলারশিপের জন্য আলাদা করে আবেদন ফরম নেই। অনলাইন ভর্তি পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে আবেদনপত্র জমা দিতে হবে। ভর্তিপ্রক্রিয়ার জন্য কিছু নির্দেশ মানতে হবে। আবেদনের শেষ তারিখ আগামী ৬ নভেম্বর।
