Overview: ZonMw Gender and Health invites PhD-students and post-doctoral researchers to apply for Gender in Research Fellowships. These fellowships offer an incredible opportunity to attend the Gender and Health course and participate in the Gender in Research workshops at the Erasmus Summer Programme (ESP), hosted by ErasmusMC in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from 18–22 August 2025.
Who Can Apply:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral programme or at the post-doctoral degree stage.
- Post-doctoral applicants must apply within 5 years after completing their PhD. Extensions can be considered for maternity/parental leave (contact ZonMw in advance).
- Dutch and non-Dutch applicants are eligible; no affiliation with Dutch research institutions or residency in The Netherlands is required.
Note: Fellowship recipients are required to attend both ESP courses: Gender and Health (ESP78) and Gender in Research workshops (ESP79). Spots are limited, with 20 reserved for fellowship recipients.
Funding Details: Up to 20 fellowships are available, with funding of:
- €2,000 for applicants residing in Europe.
- €2,500 for applicants residing outside Europe.
Eligible expenses include travel, visa fees (if applicable), registration fees, and accommodation.
