অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় বিদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য নানা বৃত্তি আছে। এগুলোর মধ্য অন্যতম একটি অ্যাওয়ার্ডস স্কলারশিপ। অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বৈদেশিক বিষয় ও বাণিজ্য বিভাগে এ বৃত্তিতে মাস্টার্স ডিগ্রি প্রোগ্রামের জন্য আবেদন করা যায়। এ বৃত্তি পেলে স্বাস্থ্য, ডেভেলপমেন্ট, পরিবেশ, সাসটেইনেবিলিটি, ট্রেড, পাবলিক পলিসি, অর্থনীতি, গভর্ন্যান্স, ইনফ্রাস্ট্রাকচার, সায়েন্স, ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং, ব্লু ইকোনমিসহ বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে পড়া যাবে।
অস্ট্রেলিয়া অ্যাওয়ার্ডস স্কলারশিপের আবেদন ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে শুরু হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশিরাসহ বিশ্বের আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থীদের আবেদনের সুযোগ ৩০ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত। আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থীরা -এ ঢু মারতে পারেন আবেদন করতে চাইলে।

অস্ট্রেলিয়া অ্যাওয়ার্ডস স্কলারশিপ সম্পূর্ণ বিনা বেতনে পড়ার একটি বৃত্তি। সঙ্গে বই ও পড়াশোনার আনুষঙ্গিক জিনিসের খরচ মেলে। আর বিমানে ইকোনমি ক্লাসে রিটার্ন টিকিটও পাবেন অস্ট্রেলিয়া অ্যাওয়ার্ডস স্কলারশিপে পড়ুয়া শিক্ষার্থীরা। বসবাসের খরচ ও স্বাস্থ্য বিমার সুবিধাও পাবেন শিক্ষার্থীরা। আবার কোর্স ভেদে ফিল্ডওয়ার্কের সুযোগ-সুবিধাও আছে।

Australia’s international development assistance to Bangladesh helps promote prosperity, reduce poverty and enhance political stability in the country. As an important part of this development assistance, Australia Awards in Bangladesh aims to:
- develop capacity and leadership skills so that individuals can contribute to development in Bangladesh
- build people-to-people linkages between Bangladesh and Australia.
Applicants for Australia Awards are assessed on their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to contribute to national development on their return to Bangladesh. Applications are strongly encouraged from women, people with disability and individuals from traditionally-marginalised groups.
Scholarships
Australia Awards Scholarships are long-term development awards administered by the Australian Government. The study and research opportunities provided by Australia Awards Scholarships develop recipients’ skills and knowledge and help them build networks to drive change and contribute to development.
Australia Awards Scholarships offer emerging Bangladeshi leaders the opportunity to undertake full-time postgraduate study in Australia in priority fields relating to Bangladesh’s development. Scholars are well supported throughout the period of their studies in Australia.
Eligibility
Applications are accepted from Bangladeshis who meet the strict eligibility criteria. Women, people with disability and individuals from traditionally-marginalised groups are encouraged to apply.
Applications for Australia Awards Scholarships open on 1 February and will likely close on 1 May each year. Information on applying, including all supporting documentation required for applications, is available on this website during the application period.
আবেদনের যোগ্যতা
১৮ বছরের ঊর্ধ্বে বাংলাদেশের নাগরিকেরা আবেদন করতে পারেন অস্ট্রেলিয়া অ্যাওয়ার্ডস স্কলারশিপের জন্য। অস্ট্রেলিয়ার নাগরিকত্ব যাদের রয়েছে তাঁরা আবেদন করতে পারবেন না। অস্ট্রেলিয়ার নাগরিকের সঙ্গে বাগদান বা বিবাহিত হলে আবেদন করা যাবে না। কোনো সামরিক সেবার সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকা যাবে না। আইএলটিএস স্কোর কমপক্ষে ৬.৫ হতে হবে এবং প্রতিটি ব্যান্ড স্কোর ৬ এর নিচে হওয়া যাবে না। বাংলাদেশসহ বিশ্বে যেকোনো দেশের নাগরিকেরা এ বৃত্তির জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন।
