About the Opportunity

Location: Belconnen, ACT, Australia
Salary: UC Academic Level C, $138,789 – $159,600 per annum + 17% Super
Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 3 years)
Closing Date: 11.55pm, Thursday 24 April 2025

Key Research areas:

  • Climate change risk assessment
  • Air pollution exposure analysis
  • Air quality or atmospheric modelling
  • Environmental epidemiology
  • Life cycle analysis

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent, high-impact research and publish in leading journals
  • Present findings at national and international conferences
  • Collaborate with global experts and diverse stakeholders
  • Lead the delivery of externally funded projects
  • Supervise and mentor Master’s and PhD students
  • Translate scientific research into real-world policy and practice

What We’re Looking For

  • A PhD (or equivalent) in environmental modelling, climate/atmospheric modelling, environmental exposure and health risk assessment, environmental epidemiology, life cycle analysis, or a related field
  • Strong research experience in environmental health, air pollution, or climate change
  • Demonstrated success in securing competitive external research funding
  • Excellent project management and teamwork abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to high academic standards
