2025 US-UN Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. – Join the Movement

The 2025 US-UN Advocacy Summit is taking place June 23–24 in Washington, D.C. In a pivotal moment for international cooperation, this summit offers a critical opportunity for Americans to stand up for global health, security, and humanitarian assistance—priorities now at risk due to recent funding cuts by the U.S. Administration.

Despite bipartisan support and congressional approval, several key UN programs—ranging from food aid and refugee support to disease prevention and anti-trafficking efforts—have been defunded, threatening millions of lives and undermining U.S. national and economic interests. Through this summit, UNA-USA aims to empower citizens to reverse this trend by engaging directly with lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

What to Expect

The two-day event is designed to equip advocates with the tools they need to effectively champion UN initiatives.

  • Day One: June 23
Participants will attend a full day of workshops, hear from inspiring speakers, and sharpen their advocacy skills in preparation for meetings with Congressional offices.
  • Day Two: June 24
Advocates will head to Capitol Hill to meet with Members of Congress, urging them to support full U.S. funding for the United Nations. The day concludes with a celebratory Congressional Reception.

Participants who complete the summit will earn a UNA-USA Advocate Certificate, which can be added to professional platforms like LinkedIn to showcase global advocacy experience.
