The Allstate Foundation National Youth Service Summit 2025: Empowering Young Leaders to Serve and Improve Communities”

The Allstate Foundation National Youth Service Summit is a nationwide event empowering youth ages 18–22 to lead, serve, and improve communities across the United States. Hosted in partnership with the Center for Expanding Leadership and Opportunity (CELO) and funded by The Allstate Foundation, the 2025 summit will take place in Chicago, IL from September 25–28. Young changemakers will engage in leadership training, networking, and community service workshops. Travel, lodging, and meals are fully funded. This youth service summit equips participants with skills, confidence, and connections to expand their impact and drive change in their local communities.


About the Summit

The Allstate Foundation is committed to empowering youth to serve and improve communities by equipping them with opportunities and resources. As part of that commitment, The Allstate Foundation has partnered with the Center for Expanding Leadership and Opportunity (CELO) to launch the National Youth Service Summit, funded by The Allstate Foundation and supported by CELO.

The Allstate Foundation National Youth Service Summit will bring together youth changemakers (aged 18–22) from across the United States for a weekend of renewal, networking, and collaboration.

As part of The Allstate Foundation’s commitment to ensuring access, funding for travel, lodging, and meals for all selected attendees will be fully provided.

Attendees will be selected through a formal application process and you can start your application process here. Please note Applications for The Allstate Foundation National Youth Service Summit 2025 close on Friday, May 16 with priority extended to applications received before Wednesday, April 30.


Eligibility

To be eligible for The Allstate Foundation National Youth Service Summit, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18–22 at the time of the summit

  • Be actively involved in a service organization or nonprofit

  • Commit to attending the full duration of the summit

  • Be a resident of the United States


2025 Timeline

  • April 1, 2025: Application Launches

  • April 30, 2025: Priority Application Deadline

  • May 16, 2025: Final Application Deadline

  • June 2025: Notification of Acceptance

  • September 25–28, 2025: National Youth Service Summit in Chicago, IL


Application Requirements

Applicants must complete the online application in full to be considered. This includes responses to the following short essay questions (200 words max each):

  • Describe your participation in service projects or initiatives.
    Include your involvement and the impact it had on the community.

  • Do you currently serve in a leadership role in a service project or initiative?
    If so, explain your role and responsibilities.

  • What do you hope to learn or take back to your community by attending the Summit?

  • What are the top 3 skills and competencies you hope to gain over the next year?
